1.  HOW WILL I FINALISE THE ORDER FOR A KITCHEN?

Kitchen order can be finalised only after you have finalised the kitchen proposal with us. To finalise the kitchen proposal, we have to receive or take your kitchen measurements and then forward the kitchen design and proposal. Question & Answer 2 below will clarify this point.
Once your kitchen proposal is finalised, we will mail you the kitchen order form, which may be endorsed by you and sent back to us.

SEQUENCE OF EVENTS LEADING TO FINALISATION OF THE KITCHEN ORDER.

• Kitchen measurement request received from the customer.

• Kitchen measurement request acceptance from Cookscape.

• Kitchen measurement by Cookscape.

• Kitchen proposal finalisation by Cookscape and customer.

• Kitchen order form from Cookscape.

• Kitchen order acceptance from customer.

• Kitchen order acknowledgement from Cookscape.

The procedure is the same for kitchen counter.

2.  HOW WILL I FINALISE THE DESIGN FOR MY KITCHEN?

      Kitchen design can be finalized only after the kitchen measurement and layout is available with us. We recommend that we depute our personnel, take the measurements and prepare the layout.
To take the kitchen measurement and submit a kitchen proposal to you, please go to the kitchen measurement tab which appears at the bottom of the “ Better Kitchens” page. Click on it, fill it up and submit to us. You can also send us a mail requesting for taking your kitchen measurements.

The procedure is the same for kitchen counter.

4.  HOW DO I DESIGN MY OWN KITCHEN?

We believe that the best kitchens are the one designed by the user himself or herself for they know their kitchens best. What you may need is some help on how to put it all together.

• Locate your cooking station – based on convenience and belief systems like vastu etc. 

• Locate your washing on sink station – again based on convenience and perhaps the location of the window so that you are not looking against a wall while washing.

• Decide on your storage needs – make an approximate sketch on the storage cabinets and drawer cabinets between your sink and cooking station and in other areas.

• Go to our kitchen accessory section and decide on the accessories that you would like to have.

• Go to our other kitchen sections and decide on the supporting systems and appliances that will perform your kitchen need.

• Contact us with your kitchen measurements and layout or alternately seek our help in measuring out your kitchen and providing you with a proposal to match your kitchen needs.

4. HOW ARE YOUR KITCHENS BETTER THAN IMPORTED  KITCHENS?

Design of kitchens depend on application, operating environment and specific customer requirements. Kitchen manufacturers in the West presume certain operating design parameters and customer requirements that are significantly different from what we have and need. For instance, our kitchens operate in varying climatic conditions, whereas the kitchens abroad operate in air-conditioned environment. Our kitchens are prone to termite, borer etc whereas kitchens in the west are seldom subjected to termites and borers. We expect life-long durability for our kitchens whereas it is normal in the west to change their kitchens once in a while. The tabular format below gives a fair indication why and how Cookscape kitchens are the best.

5.  HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR ME TO START MY KITCHEN ONCE I CONFIRM MY ORDER?

The normal delivery period for a kitchen system is 4 – 6 weeks. We will commence installing the kitchens within 3 days of delivery of kitchen in Cookscape locations and within 7 days in Non – Cookscape locations. Installation would take not more than 3 clear days.

However, it must be ensured that the site is ready in all respects for undertaking kitchen installation.

6. HOW WILL MY KITCHEN BE INSTALLED?

  We undertake kitchen installations. Our installation team would visit your site once the kitchen has been delivered and site is ready for kitchen installation. Installation would not take more than 3 clear days.

7. HOW WILL YOU MAKE MY SITE READY FOR INSTALLING MY KITCHEN OR FOR RENOVATING MY KITCHEN?

It is necessary to make your site ready for receiving and installing your kitchen. Our personnel will provide you with the complete point by point detail of the site modification to be undertaken by you prior to installing the kitchen. Installing a new kitchen may require few or no changes whereas kitchen renovation  may necessitate elaborate changes.

In Cookscape locations, Cookscape will arrange to do the modifications at cost where as in other locations, the modifications have to be carried out by you based on our stipulations.

We will commence installation only after we receive the site readiness certificate from you confirming site readiness.

8. HOW WILL MY KITCHEN COUNTER BE INSTALLED?

Once you finalise the proposal for supply and installation of the kitchen counter and confirm order for the same, we will indicate the likely delivery date of the counter. We will await your intimation that your kitchen is ready in all respects to receive the counter. Based on this,  our installation team will reach your site within 7 days of receipt of your advice and undertake installation. Actual installation would take not more than 2 clear days. In cases where we undertake supply and installation of kitchen, we will co-ordinate and arrange to install the counter.
