  The
Madras Printers' & Lithographers' Association was started in 1952 and registered
subsequently under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860.
MPLA is afiliated to the All-India Federation of Master Printers, working for the
benefit of the Industry and general public as a whole in the city of Chennai.
The Association has organised exhibitions of printing machinery and printed material from
other countries from time to time to create awareness among printers.The Association has
been taking keen interest in the technical education and training of printing craftsmen
and supervisors.Its office- bearers are represented in the Advisory committee of the
Institute of Printing Technology under the Directorate of Technical Education and also on
the consortium for Printing Technology, Anna University.
The Association has been fortunate to have, throughout its
existence of 45 years and more a dedicated band of office bearers and executive committee
members who have worked hard for the growth of the Association placing the interests of
the Association above their personal interests.It is only due to this solid support and
devoted service of the executive, the Association has come to acquire strength and
character as to be a leading light to others.
