Prof. S. Rangaswamy and Prof. S.S.K. Marthandam have developed a highly specialised trauma department within the campus. A considerable number of patients involved in motor vehicle accidents and other industrial accidents reach our shores in emergency situations and this organised trauma care utilising hi-tech ambulance services has been very much appreciated by the community. In addition to trauma, the Orthopaedics department undertakes joint replacement and spinal connection surgery on a routine basis. Rehabilitation in this particular area is given utmost importance.
